Information & registration for ships

Dear Captains and Skippers
We would like to warmly welcome you, your ship and crew to the 32st Hanse Sail (10-13 August 2023) in the city of Rostock.
With this peaceful maritime event, the Hanseatic and Academic city wishes to contribute to the cohesion of the peoples on the Baltic shores and to the preservation of traditional ships as part of the European cultural heritage.
The Hanse Sail Rostock is the largest maritime event of the coastland Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and our city presents itself proudly as a vibrant Baltic port and cultural and economic centre of Germany´s Northeast.
More than 200 traditional sailors and historic vessels bring their character to the Hanse Sail ambiance with fragrances of old canvas and tar. Some of these lovingly cared for and restored traditional sailing ships are more than 100 years old. Each year during the four Hanse Sail days, approx. 30,000 visitors fulfill their dream of sailing. Day cruises and regattas in the waters of Warnemünde are memorable experiences.
It is thrilling for sailors and their company to be part of the regatta of traditional ships in one of the most beautiful sailing areas that Germany has to offer: Warnemünde. Experience the Hanseatic city of Rostock, its seaside resort Warnemünde and enjoy the colourful maritime mosaic of small and large ships, ferries and cruise liners. Hospitable Rostockians are welcoming guests from all over the world.
