Appeal for funds for the sailing ship GENERAL ZARUSKI
The city of Gdansk tries to get a restoration of the in 1939 in Sweden constructed GENERAL ZARUSKI, which was an order of the Polish.
The ketch is 25 metres long and wooden and is the first, especially meant for the youth, civil training sailing ship of Poland and is preserved within an European project and shall get going as a sail training ship and an ambassador of the Polish city Gdansk in 2012.
On board it is conceivable that international youth-exchange-projects take place, particularly for the economic area ‘southern Baltic Sea’ and the countries: Poland-Sweden-Germany.
The Hanse Sail Office and the Hanse Sail Association for promoting traditional shipping in the Baltic Sea e.V., as well as the German-Polish Society call for individuals, institutions and companies to contribute with an international relief action to rescue the GENERAL ZARUSKI and allow adolescent sailers under instruction of experts since 2012 sails in the Baltic area, to the Hanse Sail Rostock and to events in the Baltic Sail in Poland, Sweden and Germany.
